When codes fight back
Troubleshooting, without the panic
Ninety percent of failed redemptions trace back to one of these four culprits.
"Code not recognized"
The code likely expired or hit a regional restriction. Check the card's expiry date — our community downvotes usually flag dying codes within hours.
The discount didn't apply to my total
Minimum subtotals are calculated before tax, fees, and after removed items. Adding a $2 side often flips a $25-threshold code active again.
It worked online but not in the app (or reverse)
Where a code runs is part of its terms — app exclusives (BOGO, $3 off $15) live only in the app, and some site codes don't port. The category chip on each card tells you which channel to use.
"Already used" on a fresh order
Welcome and BOGO codes are single-use per account. Threshold and percentage codes refresh more often — check the card's fine print for the per-account limit.
